Anyone else miss eating out? I would give anything to eat at a restaurant again or even go to a coffee shop. I really feel like we took eating out for granted. During my time in NY and even in college, I went to brunch almost every Sunday. Takeout doesn’t taste the same but I still encourage you to support small businesses. Moreover, I’m getting sick of eating home food every day (sorry Mom)!
For example, the other week, I had okra three days in a row. I love okra but not THAT much. Therefore, I made it my mission to try to keep my taste buds intrigued. As a result, Sincerely Shifa has been focusing on fun and easy recipes during quarantine as I’m sure you’ve noticed. Above all, I’m creating content that you guys love to read and consume (literally). So, a few days ago, my mom and I decided to make chicken potstickers from scratch. A task we thought wouldn’t be that difficult. But boy, were we wrong. However (spoiler), they turned out yummy!
TIP: IF YOU WANT AN ARM WORKOUT, TRY ROLLING DOUGH FOR 30 MINUTES.
After many hours in the kitchen (mostly from rolling the dough) we made about 30-35 pot stickers. And, they tasted amazing. I would say they were a strong rival to PF Changs! This exercise ended up being a fun way to get an arm workout in (mostly for my mom who was rolling the dough out). In short, the labor was truly worth the deliciousness. Check out the recipe below (along with a step by step video) and let me know what other recipes you want to see. The Sincerely Kitchen is open and taking requests!
