Things have been very hectic in Sincerely Shifa Land. I have been in the middle of home decor shopping for the big move in a few weeks, packing multiple suitcases, and planning a trip to London. Because of that and being at home and binging Gossip Girl (again), I’ve been feeling my creative flame go out. It’s so difficult to find the motivation and the inspiration to create unique content and post consistently on social media when there is so much going on.
I started this blog for fun and to have a creative outlet for myself so I don’t feel like I’m stuck in a corporate rut. But, it’s starting to become more of a burden for me and makes me feel like I should post every day in order to keep the analytics and follower count high. On top of that, I feel uninspired being at home and in a small town so I tend to gravitate towards Pinterest where I came across some quotes that have started to help spark my creativity. Here are some of my favorites!
- Don’t adapt to the energy in the room, influence the energy in the room.
- Keep taking time for yourself until you’re you again.
- You can’t pour from an empty cup. Take care of yourself first.
- I no longer force things. What flows, flows. What crashes, crashes. I only have space and energy for the things that are meant for me.
- Passion + Consistency = Success.
- Trust the next chapter because you’re the author.
- The more you love your decisions, the less you need others to love them.
- A little progress each day adds up to big results.
- Make more moves and less announcements.
- If the grass looks greener on the other side…stop staring, stop comparing, stop complaining. Start watering the grass you’re standing on.
- Remember why you started.
- Take massive imperfect steps toward your goals.
