Recently, I just attended my cousin’s wedding (#NiluDiVedding) held in Lake Lanier Islands Resort in Atlanta, GA and it was a beautiful weekend. The venue was stunning and the views were breathtaking! In fact, we spent the whole weekend dancing, eating yummy food and friendly competing with the groom’s side (we won of course). One of my favorite parts of attending weddings is dressing up and getting to wear Indian outfits. This is quite literally one of the few opportunities I have to buy new Indian clothes and wear them. Therefore, I really need the people in my family to GET MARRIED (you know who you are).
Because it’s very easy to get bored of doing the same hairstyle and wearing the same earrings, I decided to scour Pinterest. Pinterest always comes in clutch to find inspiration on how to dress up and style indian outfits. And so, I decided to search through my mom’s jewelry collection. I found some bangles and jhoomkas (earrings) and matched them to my outfits. Ultimately, I like to keep things simple and comfortable. If you’re looking for some inspiration, here’s what I wore below!
Mehendi (Henna Ceremony)
Pithi (Turmeric Ceremony)
Sangeet (Music & Dancing Night)
Nikkah (Islamic Contract Ceremony)

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably already seen all of these outfits. But, I hope you found some inspiration! Let me know how you like to style your Indian outfits in the comments below.
