Throughout my time in Atlanta I’ve been to way too many coffee shops. I hate studying in the library unless I absolutely have to so I tend to venture out into the city of Atlanta and find a cute coffee shop with a creative vibe. Even though I’m not an avid coffee drinker (I prefer the occasional iced-coffee), I love the ambiance and environment of a coffee shop way more than a dull library or indoor study space. Atlanta has so many coffee shops and new ones are popping up every day. How can one not take advantage of them? I narrowed down my top six favorites that I think feature the best lighting, the best outlets, great Wi-Fi, amazing pastries, great music, and an aesthetically pleasing environment. Oh, and of course, a great cup of coffee. Enjoy!
1. Spiller Park Coffee
This one is such a given. If you know me (or follow me on instagram), you know I’m literally here every other day. They have the world’s best avocado toast – NOT EVEN KIDDING. I have to restrain myself from spending all my money on their avocado toasts! Their secret ingredient is this chile butter and it is life-changing. Spiller Park is located in Toco Hills and has one of the best food and drink options. Fun fact: they make their hot chocolates with salt on top which adds such a cool kick. Spiller Park also emphasizes on its oat milk which my friends always rave about. The seating is a bit difficult if you’re trying to find an outlet but you can usually wait around and someone is bound to leave. There’s also a little mini version of Spiller Park at Ponce City Market. It’s hands down my favorite coffee shop in Atlanta. Seriously, as I’m writing this, I’m craving the avocado toast. I’m addicted SOS.

2. East Pole Coffee Co
This coffee shop is super chic and modern – I love it! East Pole is located between Midtown and Buckhead and it’s a very productive space because it’s inside of a business called Coyote (how cool)! The outdoor area is also amazing and very spacious. Super random but I LOVE the branding on their logo and coffee cups! East Pole also has a great variety of food and drink options and it has great Atlanta related merchandise. I’m a fan!

3. Chattahoochee Coffee Company
I always call this coffee shop Atlanta’s hidden secret. I don’t think a lot of people know about it and the ones who do tend to keep it a secret because it’s such a precious little place. Located in an apartment complex, Chattahoochee Coffee Company is only open to the public on weekdays. It overlooks the Chattahoochee river and has a ton of greenery around it. On a beautiful day, this coffee shop is a quiet, relaxing piece of heaven. I’ve been here a handful of times because it’s a little far from me but every time I’ve visited, the view always takes my breath away. It also has so many sofas and comfy chairs so you can read a book or write your paper while looking out at the river. Magical.

4. Ebrik Coffee Room
This coffee shop has a ton of outlets – great for the tech student! It’s a little small but so cute. Ebrik Coffee Room has the sweetest and friendliest staff. It’s such a homey place that features a variety of coffee and tea options. They also just opened a mini Ebrik Coffee location in the Carlos Museum located on Emory’s campus! Ebrik’s motto is “Community, Culture, Comfort” and these values are directly correlated with their environment. Fun Fact: the owners of Ebrik, Abbas Arman and Basel Nassri, wanted to make Ebrik a location where people could enjoy coffee and good conversation. They wanted to create a community and a safe haven for people of all backgrounds and perhaps even allow them to develop relationships outside of Ebrik. Another Atlanta gem.

5. Press & Grind
This coffee shop is for the Instagram lover! The lighting is amazing and they have amazing totally instagrammable wall art. Press & Grind is located in the Virginia Highlands really close to another ATL favorite, Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit. The parking is not the best and the coffee shop usually closes early but if you’re an early bird and you love studying in the morning, this is the place for you. The whole area is also walkable so you could explore the neighborhood, coffee in hand. The area is literally like a cute little town! Their pastry and food selection is also amazing.

6. Cafe Sip the Experience
This cafe is located near the Lindbergh Marta Station and is definitely an Atlanta favorite. It’s so warm and inviting but also modern and chic. I would definitely say that Cafe Sip the Experience has the most delicious food and pastry options. You might have to pay for parking so you should take an Uber there with a group of friends. There are also outlets everywhere – SCORE! This cafe is located under an apartment complex and the area is also very walkable. You might even see a couple of puppies being walked if you’re lucky!
