Sincerely Spotlight: AWAY suitcase

I did it. I invested in (well my parents gifted) the AWAY suitcase. And let me tell you, it is the King of all suitcases. Putting bias aside, I can honestly say I have never loved a piece of luggage more than this one (maybe my CalPak backpack). My parents got me this suitcase for Christmas and I could not wait to open it. It came wrapped in a drawstring bag (great to reuse!) and I could not stop freaking out! I’ve been using it for a little over two months when I travel and it can fit SO MUCH more than my previous Samsonite carry on. I have actually gotten so many compliments on it and it matches my CalPak bag perfectly (Neutrals ALL DAY!). Away has a very interesting back story. It was founded by two female colleagues who worked together at Warby Parker (#girlbosses). Together, they created a brand that disrupted the luggage industry. They saw that luggage brands were focusing on functionality and form but not truly fulfilling the needs of what travelers want. Thus, AWAY luggage was born and revolutionized luggage. 

SO, WHAT’S SO GOOD ABOUT THIS SUITCASE?

Let’s break it down into bullet points. Who doesn’t love lists?

• The number one thing for me is that it is BALANCED. My Samsonite would struggle rolling forward when I put my backpack on top. The AWAY suitcase does it seamlessly. Like magic!
• There is a removable portable charger so you can quite literally charge on the go. It fits right into your suitcase under the pull out roller. Seriously, you’ll never have a “my phone is dead” scare at the airport.
• It has a removable laundry bag inside the suitcase for all your dirty clothes.
• It has a little bag that comes with the suitcase that includes a scuff sponge (remove any and all scuff marks), a universal charger for Europe, UK, etc.  (great for international travelers), and a USB for your portable charger.
• One side of the suitcase has a compression panel so when you pack your clothes, you click the panel and it compresses your clothes to keep things organized.
• One con about this suitcase is that there is no expandable zipper. BUT, I feel like I’m able to always consolidate everything so I haven’t had any major problems with that.
• The AWAY suitcase has a structured shape so even if you overpack, it will never be visible. It will always look sleek and chic.
• There are so many color options for the suitcase – seriously take your pick based on your style!
• When you purchase the suitcase, you can get a FREE engraved luggage tag!
• DRUMROLL PLEASE…. The best part of the AWAY suitcase is that it has a LIFETIME WARRANTY. If you lose your portable charger, call / email them and they’ll replace it. If your suitcase has wear and tear, call / email them and they will REPLACE THE WHOLE SUITCASE. It makes the hefty fee worth it in my opinion. 
• If you’re not ready to fully commit and pay the price, you can test the bag out for 100 days!
